The PROJECT
Age Friendly Cities promotes the idea of creating age-friendly urban environments that support the well-being, inclusion, and quality of life for older adults. This initiative is based on best practices from EU-funded projects, ensuring added value and avoiding the duplication of actions.
Priority
The project aligns with key EU priorities, particularly regarding inclusion and diversity, as it focuses on age-friendly cities and the social integration of older people. The Green Paper on Ageing highlights the urgent need to ensure that cities are inclusive, accessible, and sustainable for an ageing population.
Project Objectives
Our project directly addresses this challenge by developing evidence-based strategies to improve the urban environment. Overall, the objectives of the AFC can be summarized into 7 key pillars.
